Under immense pressure from several quarters to control the spread of false news and rumors of horrifying incidents, Whatsapp on Friday announced a new measure to curb it. In a statement, Whatsapp said that it is launching a test to limit forwarding messages to five chats at once.

Collaboration: The next cyber threat?
Technology-related meeting stress causes serious problems throughout the workplace, from lowered productivity to lost business and even missed promotions. As per a Barco research, 9 in 10 office workers experience seriously elevated stress levels when dealing with troublesome technology during meetings. People’s heart rates reached 179bpm when struggling with technology during a meeting, compared to resting heart rates of around 60-100 bpm – a clear indicator of stress.

Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Twitter Announce “Data Transfer Project”
Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Twitter have announced on Friday, July 20, the Data Transfer Project (DTP), an initiative to create an open-source, service-to-service data portability platform so that users of their sites and others can easily migrate data from one platform to another.

Ransomware attack, now on a Vashi hospital
MGM Hospital, Vashi, has come under a ransomware attack. A hacker locked data in the hospital’s computer system and sent a web link demanding ransom in bitcoins to unlock it.
