Home Ministry panel to monitor cybercrimes
Union home ministry has decided to constitute a panel under a joint secretary to periodically monitor cybercrimes and ensure compliance of complaints by social media platforms that are used to spread offensive content which could precipitate law and order issues, a senior official said.

Beware of fake e-mails from I-T like addresses
It is the season to file income-tax returns, and phishing fraudsters are using that to lure victims. Taxpayers are receiving e-mails from addresses remarkably similar to the original government one, asking them to provide their net banking details to “receive their refund amount”.

Govt. gives the nod to the free and fair internet; levels playing field for telcos
In a bold but welcome move, the department of telecommunications gave the green light to net neutrality in India. The ruling, which comes into effect almost immediately, is all set to make India one of the most progressive nations when it comes to free and fair internet access.
