Healthcare, today, has evolved to provide real-time access for doctors and patients with a diagnosis of prognosis. Technology adoption has made easy for people to access healthcare solutions, which were earlier difficult to access or reach, such as Telemedicine and M-health has changed lives of many in rural India, where even basic medical facilities are lacking. Personal Healthcare Record has made it easy for people to have their complete medical history available at fingertips. This, in turn, helps healthcare providers for faster and correct diagnosis in cases of emergency to track and monitor patients on the go. Digitization has changed the way healthcare organizations from diagnostic labs, medical care or consultation work seamlessly in facilitating access to healthcare.
However, the perils of technology are the growing cyber threats that can cripple the organization and bring the whole facility down. Cyber-attacks such as APT and hacking steal the confidential data or medical records of millions of users and hold the organization to ransom or may manipulate for financial gains or sabotage.
